In case of theft, prepare a scan of the police report of theft and scanned police confirmation of blocking the device.

If accidental damage occurs to the mobile device covered by the insurance, we will repair it for you. If the device is irreparable or if it was stolen, you have the option to choose a new device from the O2 selection as part of your insurance up to the amount of the contemporary price.

Where can I set up the insurance?

The insurance can only be arranged by clients of O2 Czech Republic with a Subscription Agreement.

How is the premium paid?

The premium is paid once a month as part of the regular O2 service billing.

How and where can I set up this insurance?

You may set up this insurance while purchasing a new mobile device at all O2 Czech Republic branches.

How should I report a change in the contract?

What kind of events can be claimed as insured events?

For example, accidental mechanical damage to the device incurred by a fall or impact, water, electric current or theft.

How is the insured event settled?

If something happens to your device, it is resolved in one of the following ways:

  1. If the device can be repaired, the insurance company covers all repairs. With the insurance, you are entitled up to 2 repairs in 12 months.
  2. If the device is irreparable or if it was stolen, you have the option to choose a new device from the O2 selection up to the amount of the so-called contemporary price (i.e. the value of your phone or tablet at the time of damage or theft). If the damaged device cannot be repaired and you will choose a new device as part of the insurance, the insurance policy is thus terminated. However, you can set up new insurance for your new device.
How should I report an insured event?

If something happened to your insured device, it is broken, or somebody stole it, you report this event at +420 720 720 143 (operates only on business days from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) or write an e-mail to pojisteni.zarizeni@o2fs.cz. In case of theft, prepare a scan of the police report of theft and scanned police confirmation of blocking the device (if a SIM card can be inserted into the device).

If the device will need repairs, will I have to pay anything?

In the event of an insurance-covered repair, you do not pay anything. If the damage cannot be repaired properly or if the cost of the repair is disproportionately high compared to the real value of the device, you may choose a new device from the O2 selection up to the contemporary price. The contemporary price is the value of the insured device at the time of the damage/theft. It is calculated by deducting 3% from its purchase price for each commenced month. If the new model is more expensive than the original one, you will simply pay the difference.
